So—you’re thinking about volunteering with us at Christ’s Body Ministries?
First of all, thank you. That step of willingness means more than you know.
But let me be honest with you from the start: if you’ve never served before, expect the unexpected.
It’s Not What You Expect—and That’s the Beauty of It
When people walk through our doors to serve for the first time, they’re often surprised. The experience doesn’t fit into a neat little box. It’s gritty, sometimes chaotic, often unpredictable—and deeply, deeply human.
You might be bracing yourself for hardship, and yes, you’ll see that. But what surprises most people is the gratitude.
The people we serve—our guests—are insightful, kind, thoughtful, and incredibly grateful. Conversations happen that you never could’ve planned for. Hearts open in the middle of shared meals and quiet prayers. And it’s not just their hearts—it’s yours, too.
You Can’t Outgive God
One thing I always say: You can’t outgive God.
You may come here thinking you’re the one giving. You’re offering time, energy, maybe stepping out of your comfort zone. And yet, you leave feeling full.
There’s something sacred in this messy, unpredictable work. You come into a little chaos… and you leave with a full heart.
Come See for Yourself
If you’re wondering whether serving here will be worth it—just come once.
Be ready to be surprised. Be ready to meet Jesus in unexpected faces. Be ready to walk out with something you didn’t know you were missing.
We’d love to welcome you into the Christ’s Body family.
With love,
Tiffany Beckford
