Two Trucks, One Church, Countless Lives Changed
This week, we experienced one of those moments that stops you in your tracks and reminds you why the Church matters.
We received two full truckloads of clothing—several tons in total—from our friends at Authentic Life Church in Littleton. As I stood in our garage watching the doors open and load after load roll in, I couldn’t help but think: this is what the Body of Christ looks like in action.
What makes this even more powerful is the story behind it.
Aaron and his wife from Authentic Life Church didn’t just organize a clothing drive—they stepped into obedience. About six months ago, they felt God calling them to start a homeless ministry within their church. Instead of trying to do it alone, they partnered with us. That partnership has now grown into a movement of generosity that has impacted not only the people we serve, but their entire church community.
Aaron said something that stuck with me: “When Christ’s Body asked for donations—when there was a need—God provided.” And He did. Through the servant hearts of that church, clothing that was sitting in closets is now about to be placed directly onto the backs of men and women living on the streets of Denver. In just a matter of days, this generosity will become warmth, dignity, and hope.
This is how the Kingdom is built.
One of the things we believe deeply at Christ’s Body Ministries is that not every church is called to start from scratch—but every church is called to engage. Authentic Life Church is a beautiful example of what happens when people listen to God’s prompting, take a step of faith, and partner wisely. They didn’t reinvent the wheel. They joined hands with us, and together we multiplied the impact.
If you’re a pastor, church leader, or believer wondering how to live out God’s call to serve the poor, let me say this clearly: you don’t have to do it alone. Whether it’s a clothing drive, hygiene kits, outreach days, or launching a small ministry within your church, we would love to walk alongside you. When the Church works together, the reach is greater than any one ministry could ever accomplish on its own.
To Authentic Life Church—thank you. Thank you for your obedience, your generosity, and your heart for the least of these. These clothes won’t sit in storage. They’ll be sorted, prayed over, and sent right back out into the streets—doing exactly what you hoped they would do: serving people and building the Kingdom of God.
If God is stirring something similar in your heart, we’d love to talk. Sometimes all it takes is a simple “yes” to see Him do something extraordinary.
