Ten Salvations, One Mission: A Summer Update from Our Streets

Every morning, I step into the alley behind Christ’s Body Ministries and I’m met by a crowd—more than 100 men and women who come for a hot shower, a warm meal, and clean clothes. But they’re not just coming for those things. They’re coming for hope. They’re coming for connection. And many are discovering they’re being drawn to something far greater: the love of Jesus Christ.

The alley may not look like much, but it’s become a sacred space. Every day, we get to sit with people—really sit with them—and listen, pray, and share the good news. It’s gritty, it’s raw, and it’s holy.

And then last week… something incredible happened.

We had our largest chapel service ever—nearly 40 people packed into our chapel. And out of that, ten individuals made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Ten souls moved from darkness to light in one morning. This Friday, we’ll be baptizing some of them. That’s not just exciting—that’s revival.

Even more, we’re helping folks transition off the streets and into the seats of local churches. That’s what this is all about. It’s not just about survival—it’s about discipleship. Jesus didn’t just meet people where they were—He called them to follow Him. And we’re seeing that happen here, every week.

We’ve also got new Bible studies launching. In September, we’ll be adding a second men’s Bible study to meet the growing hunger for truth and transformation, alongside our women’s group. These aren’t just classes—they’re communities being born from the ground up.

Now, I want to speak plainly for a moment.

Summer is hard. Donations dip, volunteer numbers shrink, and our needs don’t go away—they grow. That’s why I’m asking: would you consider becoming a monthly partner with Christ’s Body Ministries? Your consistent support helps us continue serving our guests day in and day out—body, soul, and spirit.

If you haven’t been part of the mission lately—whether by giving, volunteering, or praying—I want to personally invite you back in. This is the Lord’s work, and He’s using ordinary people like you and me to do extraordinary things.

Thank you for every prayer, every dollar, every hour you’ve given. Please continue to lift us up. And if you’re able, give today—and be part of the transformation happening here in the alley, at the altar, and beyond.

God bless you.
