Smoked Brisket & Brotherhood at the Men’s Roundtable

Every Wednesday night, a group of men gathers around a table at Christ’s Body Ministries. The food changes every week. Sometimes it’s smoked brisket. Sometimes burgers, pizza, Mexican food, or another home-cooked meal. But while the menu changes, the purpose remains the same: we break bread together.

Our Men’s Roundtable is more than a Bible study. It’s a place where men can build friendships, find encouragement, and walk through life together. Around the table sit men with incredible stories. Some have overcome homelessness. Some have battled addiction. Some have spent years, even decades, incarcerated. Others are simply trying to become better husbands, fathers, employees, and followers of Jesus.

Each week we choose a topic from Scripture and spend time discussing how it applies to real life. The conversations are honest and practical. Men share victories, setbacks, struggles, and lessons learned. They encourage one another, offer wisdom, and remind each other that nobody has to carry life’s burdens alone.

In a world where many men feel isolated and disconnected, something powerful happens when people gather face-to-face and speak honestly about what they’re going through. We laugh together, eat together, study God’s Word together, and pray together. For many of the men who attend, this has become one of the most important parts of their week because it’s a place where they know they’ll be welcomed, heard, and supported.

That’s what Christ’s Body Ministries is all about. Whether it’s serving breakfast during Daily Bread, providing clothing and showers, helping someone transition out of prison through our CORE program, walking alongside men in our RISE discipleship program, or gathering around the table every Wednesday night, we’re committed to helping people find hope, community, and a deeper relationship with Jesus.

None of this happens on its own. It takes faithful supporters who believe that lives can change when people are loved consistently and given opportunities to grow. Right now, every gift to Christ’s Body Ministries is being doubled through our $50,000 Challenge Grant. That means every meal served, every outreach conducted, every shower provided, every Bible study hosted, and every life impacted can go twice as far.

A gift of $50 becomes $100. A gift of $100 becomes $200. A gift of $500 becomes $1,000.

If stories like Men’s Roundtable encourage you, would you consider helping us continue this work? Your support helps create places where men can heal, grow, build relationships, and discover that their story is not over. Together, we can keep pulling more chairs up to the table.

Double your impact today by giving through our $50,000 Challenge Grant:
