Jerry Hall was raised in a Christian home as an only child. His mother ran for public office for a portion of his young life, his father struggled with alcoholism. At some point, Jerry lost his way and made some bad life decisions, committed a crime, and was sentenced to prison. He was convinced he would spend the rest of his life incarcerated and would probably die in prison.
Along the way he had opportunities for parole, but rejected them multiple times. He felt he didn’t deserve his freedom. After 36 years he came to a realization that God was his father and he was a “loved” son. This turned his life around, he rediscovered his faith and began to understand that the Holy Spirit was near to him and would be his guide and protector. He began to understand that he had REAL VALUE. It was then that he began to understand that he would be acceptable enough to consider parole.
After 38 years in prison, Jerry made parole and began his new life on the outside. He searched for a couple of places to volunteer and begin serving his Heavenly Father and found a home here at Christ’s Body Ministries. Jerry serves faithfully as a volunteer and is consistent with his resources. He has many great stories about how God leads and guides him, you should ask him, you will be blessed.
As an 82 year old man who spent 38 years in prison, he now knows how much he is valued by his Heavenly Father. Christ’s Body Ministries is blessed to have Jerry Hall part of our family!
