From the Pulpit to the Pavement: A Call to the Local Church
At Christ’s Body Ministries, we believe the local church is the heartbeat of our city—and when churches show up for the poor, the lost, and the broken, we begin to see real transformation in our streets.
I recently had the honor of visiting one of our outreach sites with Pastor Steven from Grace Chapel in Englewood, Colorado. Grace Chapel has been walking alongside us for over a decade, showing what long-term, faithful partnership looks like. I asked Pastor Steven why their church has stayed committed to our mission all these years. His answer cut straight to the heart:
“Missions is how we spread the gospel—globally and locally. What you all do here is so tangible. I think of Matthew 25 when Jesus said, ‘I was hungry and you fed me, I was naked and you clothed me.’ You guys do that every day—not once a month, not once a week, but every day. It’s an honor to partner with you.”
That’s it. That’s the Gospel in action. We feed the hungry. We clothe the naked. We love the forgotten. And we don’t do it alone.
If you’re part of a local church—whether you’re a pastor, a missions director, or someone with a heart to serve—I want to personally invite you to join us. Let’s link arms for the Kingdom. Let’s take the church outside the four walls and into the streets of Denver.
– Volunteer.
– Invite us to speak at your church.
– Host a clothing drive.
– Cover us in prayer.
– Support us financially.
There’s a place for your church in this story of hope.
Together, we can bring the Gospel to life in Denver—one person, one meal, one act of kindness at a time.
Gratefully,
Pastor Sterling Copeland
