A Season of Growth — and a Call to Action

Jim Copeland here—Executive Director at Christ’s Body Ministries. I just wanted to give you a quick and heartfelt update about what’s going on around here. The truth is, God is doing something powerful—and we’re inviting you to be a part of it.

Let’s start with some amazing news:
We’ve now house 11 men in our Residential Program—the most we’ve ever had at any time in our history. This isn’t just a number. These are lives being discipled, stabilized, dignity being restored, and hope being reignited. We’ve never had more than four or five men housed at a time before… but we’re maxed out now.

And here’s the tension: There’s a waiting list.
Men who want to come off the streets and into a safe, healing Christian community—are waiting. We’re actively praying and pursuing a solution. One exciting possibility is the chance to purchase a row house just down the alley from our current space. It would open up more beds and more hope. The cost? About $450,000—well beyond what we have, but not beyond what God can provide.

That’s just the beginning.
Last week, we served more than 2,100 meals—from this little kitchen in Denver. We’re dreaming bigger: two outreach teams going out every day and expanding our hours at Daily Bread to serve lunch as well as breakfast. That means we need more food, more volunteers, and yes—more monthly support.

Which brings me to something important:
If you’re one of the 1,000 plus individuals getting this newsletter, thank you for being on this journey with us. But only about 300 of you currently give financially to support our ministry to the “least of these.” To the other 700—would you prayerfully consider a monthly gift? Even $10 a month could make a massive difference. If just half of you said yes today, we could expand housing, serve more meals, and reach more people with the love of Jesus.

This isn’t about guilt. It’s about invitation.
Invitation into something real, raw, and full of life. A chance to put your faith into action. To be part of a ministry that doesn’t just talk about Jesus—we feed, clothe, shower, house, and share the gospel… with the people the world tries to forget.

Please pray with us. Serve with us. And if you’re able—give today!
