MOBILE STREET OUTREACH • DENVER

Taking Christ's love into the community.

A meal, a conversation, and a moment of care can happen far beyond our own doors. Mobile Street Outreach brings practical help and the hope of Jesus to neighbors out in the community.

To share Christ's love, serve and care for the least of these.

Part of Christ's Body Ministries • Serving Denver since 1990

Care should reach beyond our front door.

Not every connection begins inside a ministry building. Sometimes it begins beside a serving table, near a ministry vehicle, or through a simple greeting out in the neighborhood. Outreach creates opportunities to meet people where they are and offer practical support.

We want each interaction to reflect the love of Christ. That means serving with kindness, making room to listen, and recognizing the dignity of the person in front of us.

The food and supplies matter. So does the way they are shared. A welcoming conversation is part of the care we hope to offer.

Prayer and the hope of Jesus

We share our faith through practical service, encouragement, and opportunities for prayer.

The work starts before the team heads out.

Outreach depends on preparation and teamwork. Every outing brings together practical tasks with a shared purpose: caring for our neighbors in Jesus' name.

1. Prepare

Get meals and available supplies ready to share.

2. Load and organize

Bring together the equipment and materials needed for the outing.

3. Serve and connect

Offer practical help with a welcoming presence and time to listen.

4. Make ready again

Pack up, care for equipment, and prepare for the work ahead.

HEROES OF HOPE

Help us keep showing up.

An outreach visit depends on more than what is handed across a table. There are meals to prepare, supplies to organize, vehicles to keep moving, and people working together to make the visit possible.

Monthly partners help sustain the wider Christ's Body ministry behind this work. Reliable support helps our team plan for ongoing service and continue making room for practical care and relationships.

People are more than the needs we can see.

Our neighbors have stories, relationships, hopes, and experiences that cannot be understood in a passing moment. We want outreach to make room for personal connection, not just a transaction.

Listening, remembering a conversation, or taking time to pray can be meaningful expressions of care. We seek to share the love of Jesus through both our words and the way we treat people.

Practical help and personal connection belong together.

Bring your group. Share in the work.

Serving together can give a church, workplace, or group of friends a practical way to care for neighbors. Outreach offers an opportunity to participate in ministry alongside others and experience the work together.

Bloomerang includes individual and group registration options when choosing an opportunity. We encourage groups to connect with our team first so we can help coordinate the visit, but contacting us first is not required to begin registration.

What is the primary mission of Christ's Body Ministries?

Our mission is to share the love of Christ with the homeless and poor of Denver by providing for both physical and spiritual needs, bringing hope and practical assistance directly to the streets.

We provide hot, nourishing meals, fresh drinking water, essential personal hygiene items, seasonal outdoor clothing, blankets, and guidance on local community resources.

Outreach volunteer shifts run from Tuesday through Saturday. Morning shifts operate from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and afternoon shifts run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

All volunteers meet at our central ministry facility in Denver. Every session begins with a brief safety orientation, task allocation, and group prayer before deployment.

We welcome and serve anyone experiencing unsheltered homelessness, extreme poverty, or social isolation in the greater Denver metro area without discrimination.

We approach guests with humility and love. We offer prayer freely and gently to those who express interest, always respecting personal boundaries and religious freedom.

High-demand items include thick socks, warm winter gloves, sturdy walking boots, insulated coats, travel-sized toiletries, and heavy blankets.

Direct street outreach volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Youth aged 12 to 15 are warmly invited to help prepare meals and sort donations inside our facility alongside a guardian.

Yes! We frequently host church groups, corporate teams, and civic organizations. Please contact our volunteer coordinator to arrange a group serve opportunity.

Consistent monthly support offers stable, predictable funding, enabling us to safely stock our food pantry, maintain our ministry vehicles, and program outreach efficiently.

We advise wearing comfortable, modest clothing suitable for extensive walking and seasonal weather. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or hiking boots are required for safety.

Absolutely. Safety is our priority. Volunteers always move in groups alongside experienced ministry staff, staying on defined routes with active communications in place.

You can share prayer requests using our online form link above, or fill out a physical prayer card during our pre-outreach briefing and team meetings.
